the arc carroll county

A short video I put together back in March for National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. I wanted to showcase snapshots of individuals and activities and combine them with the core values the Arc Carroll County honors. I added in one of the stop motion videos from one of my classes for a more personable touch.

Each year, the Carroll Arts Center organizes an exhibition for the month of April called the Peep Show with the theme being artwork made from marshmallow peeps. Local artists from around the region create works and submit to be shown. I collaborated with individuals and staff to put together a playful stop motion video that was exhibited.

I teach a bi weekly class where I direct individuals on movement and placing of objects to film a short stop motion sequence. I’ll usually create pieces out of cardboard or find existing items. It’s and ever evolving activity that I try to keep updated and engaging.
